Using hands on activities is crucial to every students academical success. Allowing students to participate in activities while also learning new content keeps them engaged and motivated. I believe that all teachers should incorporate hands on activities into their lessons to show students that learning can be fun and exciting.
The hands on activity that I've created involves students to derive pi using the circumference and diameter of a circle. Students are given different sized objects and opportunities to explore and take control over their learning. Below are two links to my powerpoint and handout that was used during my lesson.
